RE/MAX Estate Properties’ Kindness Series
Highlighting those acts of humanity, compassion, and generosity selflessly spurred by individuals in our offices and beyond.
You’ve probably heard of the wonderful organization Habitat for Humanity: a non-profit that seeks to eliminate substandard housing through advocacy, education and partnerships. Families, individuals and volunteers help those in need by building sustainable and affordable housing. Since its founding in the South Bay/Long Beach in 1990, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has built and repaired more than 700 homes all over Los Angeles County.

Beach Cities Friends, founded in 2002, comprises a group of South Bay residents who work to raise funds and advocate for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA). One individual who has been with Beach Cities Friends since its inception is RE/MAX Estate Properties realtor, Denise Lavell. Denise works alongside many others to empower families in the greater area, especially during recent economic trials.
Working to raise awareness for Habitat LA through events and fundraising, Beach Cities Friends has raised over $1 million since 2002 to help build or repair homes with Habitat LA. They will hold Trivia Night, one of their annual fundraisers on Saturday, October 29. Click here for more information or to register!
Every donation and volunteer helps to build a stable foundation (literally and mentally) for a family who needs support. Uniting with Habitat LA, Beach Cities Friends, families, and individuals all across Los Angeles help to revitalize and strengthen our local communities.
We thank those volunteers for your hard-work, empathy and drive to make Los Angeles communities stronger by giving families a place to proudly call, “home.”
